Q.1 To begin the interview, we would like you to introduce your book “Love will find a way” to our readers?
Love will find a way is a psycho-romance-thriller. It’s a blend of all the genres to be honest under the umbrella of love. It’s a story of a boy who has been hiding a secret and suffers from a serious mental disorder. He falls in love with a psychoanalyst who helps him reveal his past and get over his regrets. She makes him share his story and heals him with love. The book has got a lot of thriller element, romance, and what not.
Q.2 Define yourself in three words.
Simple, thoughtful, and lazy
Q.3 Author of three great books in such young age, how has the journey been so far?
To embark on this journey was completely unintentional but it has been great so far. I got to learn so many things, met some amazing people, and I feel blessed to have such lovely readers. I hope it gets better with every book.
Q.4 What are the three major challenges you have faced during your writing journey and how have you overcome them?
The first challenge was to write what I wanted to write. I overcame the challenge by writing my second which is quite intense and something really difficult to describe. I researched for one year and complete the script.
The other challenge is marketing. I am not a social media person and these days you’ve to be active all the time to engage your readers. I am trying to do that with time.
The third I suppose is to write better than the previous. I try to get better with whatever I write now.
Q. Every writer remembers a book that opens a new world to them; which one is yours?
Forty rules of love by Elif Shafaq.
Q.5 “Love will find a way” has been admired by the readers; what made you pen down this brilliant theme in the first place? Why you titled it as Love will find a way?
I always wanted to write something related to human psychology. Fortunately, I came up with this plot where the protagonist suffers from a mental disorder and is hiding a secret. He falls in love with a psychoanalyst who uncovers his mysterious past with love. And that is why the book has been titled “Love Will Find a Way”.
Q.6. How does the young author, Anurag Garg, spend his leisure hours?
Sleeping! For me leisure means sleeping and watching movies.
Q.7. How long it took you to complete “Love will find a way” and what has been the major inspiration for you throughout the journey of writing this book?
Six months. My partner Gitanjali was the biggest inspiration behind this book. She made it possible for me.
Q.8. If you could walk the red carpet one day, how would you want the world to recognize your effort?
I would want the world to just connect with my being. I believe in creating connections of love and compassion.
Q. 9. When did you realize that you wanted to be an author and how you planned for it?
After my first book became a National Bestseller. Till that day I had no plans of writing my second book.
Q.10 What does your family think of your writing career?
They feel proud but for them, I still need to work hard to make it sustainable for the family. So yes, they’re happy and supporting me in my career.
Q.11 As a young and successful author of three great books, how would you like to inspire the budding writers to plan their life? What are the three things they must do to bring out their best self?
I just want them to believe in their story. The most important thing is to have patience, be natural with your work and stay humble.
Q.12 What would be the best life per you?
Living a life of purpose which has meaning to you and others.
Q.13 Today’s modern Authors fails badly at marketing their book to the world but you have made commendable efforts with The Dark Romance, any four takeaways for them?
I think even I am struggling with that. I am yet to master the marketing stage of my books. I focus more on research while writing than promoting after it gets published. But yes, now I am learning to stay connected with people and grow my network.
Q.14 What have you got in store for the readers next? Would you like to tell your fans what they should be looking forward to?
